Splotchy Character

There is something to be said for character in the creative process. Each of us possesses marks and gestures that are characteristically our own. They may be similar to those of another but the combination and use of them results in art that is uniquely ours.

I have been trying to identify and expand the visual vocabulary that is true to my artistic nature. I am drawn to things that have a life of their own even though they are drawn by me. Creating techniques that pursue the unpredictable captures an organic quality of imperfection that I find appealing, even visually seductive.
